AI, Action and Asana: Building the future of work

Written by Daniël van der Linden | Jul 15, 2025 10:04:53 AM

Innovation begins with connection, and that's exactly what this event was all about. In partnership with Asana, we co-hosted the very first Work Innovation Tour. The event brought together a diverse group of professionals, innovators, and thought leaders to explore how AI is transforming the way we work, with Asana's AI Studio at the center of the conversation. The day was filled with insights into how this tool can reshape collaboration and boost productivity. Beyond the sessions, it created space for open dialogue, shared learning, and forward-thinking discussions about the future of work.

AI Studio in Asana

After a welcome coffee and time to connect, Christina Francis, Head of Northern Europe at Asana, officially opened the event. She shared the latest updates from Asana and spoke about how AI is becoming a central part of the platform's long-term vision. Daniel van der Linden followed with a deep dive into practical applications of AI in everyday work. Using real-life examples, he showed how AI can help teams reduce friction, move faster, and make more confident decisions.

This led into a live demonstration by Hari Arti Khalsa, AI Studio specialist at Asana. Hari Arti walked us through the capabilities of AI Studio, from intelligent task suggestions and automation to data-driven insights that support better planning and execution. The session sparked curiosity and engagement, giving attendees a clear sense of what's possible when AI becomes natural part of the workflow.

Insights from experience

One of the most engaging moments of the day was the customer panel, moderated by Alain Rutaganda, Strategic Accounts Lead at Asana. Three experienced leaders joined the stage to share how Asana is helping their teams work smarter, collaborate more effectively, and adapt to change. A special thank-you to:

  • Elisabet van Caeneghem, Head of PMO at Q8
  • Jacintha Verdegaal, Corporate Brand, Marketing & Communications at HaskoningDHV
  • Martijn Jansen, COO at Drukwerkdeal

Their stories offered a candid look into how Asana supports everything from cross-functional planning to improving visibility across fast-moving teams. Each perspective reflected a unique approach to collaboration, yet all emphasized the value of clarity, structure, and the growing role of AI in enabling better work.

It was an honest and inspiring conversation that showed how the right tools, combined with the right mindset, can truly drive meaningful change.

Learning together

What made the event stand out was the opportunity to learn directly form others. Attendees from companies like Philips, Rituals, Touch Incentive, and Tetra Tech shared their own ways of working with Asana, including what's working well, what remains challenging, and what they've learned along the way.

These conversations showed just how much teams can learn from one another. Despite working in different industries, many faced similar challenges. The exchange of ideas led to practical insights and fresh perspectives on how to approach work more effectively.

Looking ahead

A big thank-you to all the speakers, panelists, and participants who joined us and shared their experiences. We're excited to keep the momentum going and continue learning together as AI shapes the future of work. There's more to come, and we look forward to sharing what's next.
